I started on a pretty big island with lots of grass biomes and swamp, how can i get string? Am I stuck, or is there a way i can get off this island w/o string?

What Ysh said. If you have the wherewithal to make a rowboat, you might be able to get off that island.

Can someone explain palisade splash damage more in depth?

Does the damage effect any adjacent tiles with palisades, or only if it's part of the same palisade construction? So can you build two palisades around each other for extra defense as long as they aren't connected?

Actually, swimming isn't a bad idea anymore if you're stuck in this kind of situation. All you need is the swimming skill and just go straight across at a narrow point in the river.

If the river is really wide though.. Well, you're boned. (Unless you can find/make enough curios and get boatbuilding to get across. At that point, I'd just roll a new character.)

It is ''impossible.'' But some bugs may exist. I will not risk this with my town, I can tell this much to you.

How do i get earthworms? I dug and dug and dug in an area that i cant ever sprint with lots of trees in (aka forrest) i have gotten 100+ soil not a single worm.

I'm not sure if you must be in the forest to get worms (though I think you can get worms in a forest). I do not think they will be very rare. You maybe just get unlucky? You can make a shovel for this to be easier to you, 100 dirt unit is not very much.

Keep digging, I get them pretty frequently. Mayhaps try another node.

A destroyed palisade segment will cascade damage to connected ones.
This effect is now reduced in magnitude, so it won't bring down the complete wall, but something in the 10-20 segments range. In case the segments affected are not dry yet it might be more...

I raised my strength to 40 before leveling my other stats. Did I just screw myself over for FEP? Or do you think it's not a big deal yet?
