Does the dowsing rod no longer work? I have used this in previous worlds with little to no problem. this world. can't find a water spot?

thankyou for the assist!

That lion thing is lynx and it will kill you sometimes but rarely, bats can kill you too if you run into like 4-5 of them and all of them attack you at once with their ip attack. Bears can kill you rarely as i heard but never seen it in game so i don't know if this is true.

Confirmed death from bear, lynx, mammoth and DEER. I assume the main point is how much hhp do u have. Note that KO vs KILL system was somehow changed this year patch (can't remember which is one though).

Whether or not you die is mostly dependent on how many total HP you have vs the damage dealt. Animals don't explicitly do killing blows, but some may stay in combat and hit you a time or two more. Bats being one case where you have several and all hit you one more time or a mammoth or troll just hits exceptionally hard. (I hear mammoths will just keep hitting you till dead, though.)
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

They will not attack until you will log in and move. They will attack after 24 hours even if you do offline. Log in once daily if you do some crime.

So first I can't hearth, then I can't log off for a week, then I ALSO have to log in every single day, or automatically die. That seems a bit... Extreme?

Edit: Plus this new visitor shit makes theft practically worthless. Does jorb hate criminals or something?

And PLEASE don't tell me a fucking nidbane can be summoned for every single scent?

did they turn into dirt or did they turn into plowed dirt because plowed dirt can spread to other tiles like other biomes can

It looks like if you do "stomp to dirt" and its not large area. Just a lot of dots.
