Inspect it. If it gives you the growth percentage and e/s/v values in System chat, then it's still growing. If there's only e/s/v - it's stunted and you may as well cut it down. There are rumors about some plants being "unstunted" after a while, but without a proper confirmation I personally consider them to be urban legends.

It's probably stunted.

Thanks a lot!

Another question. If my hunger goes below ravenous, I am going to die?

No. Not unless you have no energy as well.

Though, sitting at 0% on ravenous is highly inefficient as far as use of your hunger and FEPs is concerned. Probably don't want to do that.

It's somewhat hard to fill up my hunger bar without being selfish towards other people who find the food. :) I understand it's not good.

If your efficient FEP is 300%, it's not selfish to grab a bite: you're using the food in the most efficient way.

Just be sure your eating as efficiently as possible, not hogging the CON/PER/DEX or whatever food if others need it, and contribute as much as the foragers, farmers, and hunters. Nobody should be mad if they're feeding you and your building the walls and such or churning out armor and curios.

The characters have to discover the ingredients (= personally craft, butcher, foreage, ...).
After one character has interacted with an item the option to discover from it is no longer there, so go out and pick fresh taproot, fiber, branches, boughs, ...
