You can extend palisade immediately after you build it now. But it will have 0 soak to start. Soak goes up to maximum after 48 hour.

Or if you don't have a middle mouse button you can use the sideways arrows on your keyboard. (Usually found between the numeric keypad and the alphabetic keypad, below insert, home, delete, end etc.

I found what I think is a dead deer. It has a rack of antlers and might be a moose.

Whoever killed it took the skin off it and apparently abandoned it.

I would like to butcher it to get meat and entrails and bones but it doesn't allow me to. Is there a skill I need or a tool I need?

There is bug where some animal can not get chopped by the butcher. It is maybe affecting this deer.

Okay, thanks. This makes sense as the whole experience was odd. I was standing beside the skinned corpse wondering what type of deer it was when that black cloud of recent death either came out of my head, or out of a nearby tree... I think it came out of the tree but there was nobody behind the tree, so it sounds like something was executing improperly.

I will try re-logging in the wistful hope that my purloined deer carcass will become lootable when I log back in.

Yes, the dreaded "everlasting carcass" bug. Once in a while, when you butcher an animal, after you've taken all the entrails, intenstines and meat, the carcass doesn't turn into a pile of bones, but stays in that abominable skinned form, never to decay, indestructible, unable to part with this mortal world. Naturally, this terrifying sight causes fragile, adolescent souls to tremble and hear the sound of death in their heads.

slings

is there a formula that will tell me my max distance?

and now it seems that the sling is kind of like a third person shooter(I actually got to keep the cursor on the target), is there any area on the target I should be aiming for(like are there headshots in H&H now?)

Just made a new claim and I can't refill it because it is too young. When will it come into effect?

Mouseover the authority bar (the one you can't yet refill) and it'll give you the tooltip on remaining time until your claim's authority can be refilled.
