Works with all objects that accept right-clicked items, makes it easy to refuel steel crucibles with sticks without the danger of removing the steel in the making.

works with most items that accept right clicking. ive found a few things that dont accept it, only one i can remember off hand is filling a bucket with seeds or some such thing from an inventory.

Objects on the wall can be used to add to already existing furniture. For instance, I present to you...

It dosn't work on object with an inventory, but there is a request to add it: QoL: Add items to containers without opening them
On bucktes it dosn't work as these are items, not objects.

Maybe we should contribute new tips or iterate through the old ones and check if they are still valid!

I've just updated the thread from 79 tips up to the new total of 113!
And there was much rejoicing.

I still need to fact-check the old posts so if you're reading this please go through and see if you notice anything that no longer works/has been made obsolete

Also re-sticky pls

tip 1 - chip rock, make stockpile to determine if ore or stone
-- I didn't think there were any boulder-based ore in current world?

tip 47 and tip 68 are the same thing

tip 90 formatting needs fixed

tip 39 and 92 are the same tip, but 92 shows a use for such things (i'm totally doing this whenever I get my house built)

One thing I didn't see in the list was that in a lot of places where you hold shift and click on something while having an item on your cursor, you can hold control and shift both to automatically do the same thing with all of the same item types in your inventory (e.g. adding to an existing stockpile). Sadly doesn't work with dumping wood into tar kilns =[

On a related note, holding shift while creating a stockpile will dump all items into the stockpile.

I guess it's just shift now that I'm testing it.. Not sure if that was in there somewhere now that it's like two hours later. My memory is awful.

tags: efficiency, quality of life (i guess?)

Also, thanks for maintaining this list mate!

Not supposed to be.

This is on the information about keyboard commands on the wiki. It's in the beginner's guides. Couple of other places around here.... This is definitely one of those things that doesn't seem to be posted enough places, but it's one of those things you miss if you don't read the basics or don't fiddle with modifier keys.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

A lot of these tips don't seem to be pro-tips with me, but hey, I like the list format and tags, so may as well make it a good resource.
