Can you use fishing nets in caves? Additionally, is bushcraft fishing in caves a reasonable thing? Before change i managed to get like 10 fish in 30 min, now it was 0 in 1h, mby wrong line . .

Were you fishing on an actual spawn node for fish? (Occasional animation of fish jumping from the water)

Yup, bunch of jumping fishes. Casting rod even confirmed that was cavelanch node. Yet 1h of time, bunch entrails, 0 bites.

i tried once on a lake with jumping fish but no luck, then I got the impression that cave fish only spawn at night time, so I assumed that was the problem

Does a minehole required to have 7x7 space below to be placed and built?
So if I have a base underneath the caves, as long as there is no 7x7 free space should be safe?

No.
A minehole don't needs that space, it will clear that space of mine-able tiles.

Logs can be turned into old trunk if left outside of claim for a real month. Should it be on surface? Can i put it in burrow, cave, lvl 5 minehole? Still outside of claim. Will it turn?

Caves are supposed to have only 10% rate of decay compared to surface.
