Doesn't exist in current version. Not sure if going to be reimplemented or not, but is on the list.

There's a chance to do it.
When you recycle, you have a chance to get an empty item w/o gildings, or an empty item + gilding(s) separately (a chance for each gilded thing), or an item still gilded + gildable slot. So, in a way, it's possible. Depends on what are you trying to keep, the item of the gilding.

How do you recycle? Is it right mouse button? Or structure needed?

You need two "completed" gildable identical items (two linen shirts, two fox hats etc., gilded and not gildable anymore). You pick an item you intend to destroy and right-click an item you intend to keep. Resulting item will have averaged quality of the two items, but the durability (if the items have it) will be of the 2nd item. Chance of getting a new slot, or getting a gilding out, equals to 1/2 of corresponding chances for your character when gilding thise items/gilds.

Example:
You have:
- Nettle Shirt #1, q20, gilded with Taproot gilding +3 Survival (affinities of shirt and gilding match, when you were gilding this shirt with taproot the chance was 20%);
- Nettle Shirt #2, q30, gilded with Glass Beads gilding +5 Perception (affinities don't match, when you were gilding this shirt with beads the chance was 3%);

You pick Shirt #2 and right-click Shirt #1 with it, then click "recycle".

- You have 10%(half of the 20% chance you had when gilding initially) chance to get Shirt #3 (q25, average between #1 and #2), gilded with Taproot, with a slot for additional gilding.
- If that fails, you get Shirt#3 without gildings, and 10% chance to get Taproot gild back.
- Regardless of the first outcome you have a 1.5% chance to get Glass Beads gild back.

At least that's how I understand the explanations given in the thread when gilding was implemented. Seems to work like that for me in-game, too.

A question which is more sort of out there for people who know and the devs.
Why some items are locked by quality 10 until player goes above 10 survival?
For example branches, stone and so on and shouldn't it be affected by survival current number?

All native trees and their derivative products are q10. All boulders are q10 (you can easily find higher quality stone by mining or even digging the stone biome).
Your survival hardcaps items you forage or gather. That means that if, for example, forageables quality is higher than your survival - it will be lowered to equal your survival; if it's lower - it will stay the same. Some items like water, clay and soil are hardcapped by your Survival but can't be lower than 10 (hence the situation you described).

Whether or not that system is sensible, better to argue in C&I section. In current world it is how it is.

Here: http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Bucket
The wiki says "Note that when stored in a bucket, Grape Juice and Wine do not age as they do when contained in a barrel, thus making them the container of choice for long-term wine storage."
And here: http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Wine
it says "In order to halt the fermented wine's further progression into Vinegar, one must store it in a barrel or a Wine Bottle."
Which is true?

Edit: Separate question: I've never received e-mails from this forum, can't subscribe to topics. Is that broken for everyone, or just me?

Quell the Beast, 5000 XP, does that tame animals, or just save you from dying to a random aggressive animal? Does it work on trolls? Mammoths?
