You'll spend ~30-60 seconds crossing rivers (drop boat, unload raft, "Avast!", load horse on raft, pick up boat, cross river, drop boat, unload horse from raft, "Giddy up!", disassemble raft, load it into boat, pick up boat); but, since questing mostly requires you travelling by land, you will spend much less time questing overall because you'll be mounted all the time. Nothing to do with location, just common sense. Ofcourse if you plan on hunting/foraging while questing, this will be more complicated since you're always carrying your "boatraft" with you.
I tried this but was literally doing exactly (drop boat, unload raft, "Avast!", load horse on raft, pick up boat, cross river, drop boat, unload horse from raft, "Giddy up!", disassemble raft, load it into boat, pick up boat) every 2 mins all the time, so quest-grinding is definitely not for me (plus yesterday, I was granted with 2 quest for greeting new q-givers, and guess what? they both are out of world edge (one of them is 2 tiles beyond it)).
English is neither my native lang, nor my best side...
