Bush/tree seeds can be used to plant bush/tree or in mirkwood offering recipe. That's it. You don't need it for anything else.
Though there are some "not so obvious crafting recipes" like boiled deer antlers or bone ash, seeds don't participate in any of them AFAIK.

I have discovered like 10 q-givers by this time and they all spread across 5 huge landmasses divided by very wide (barely can cross with swimming) rivers (can't use horse for quests) and situated far from shores (makin' them not easily accessible via boats). So no "fast exp grind" for me.

An offtopic-ish advise: make a raft, put it in a boat, get on a horse, pick up boat, go questing. You'll spend ~30-60 seconds crossing rivers (drop boat, unload raft, "Avast!", load horse on raft, pick up boat, cross river, drop boat, unload horse from raft, "Giddy up!", disassemble raft, load it into boat, pick up boat); but, since questing mostly requires you travelling by land, you will spend much less time questing overall because you'll be mounted all the time. Nothing to do with location, just common sense. Ofcourse if you plan on hunting/foraging while questing, this will be more complicated since you're always carrying your "boatraft" with you.

I tried this but was literally doing exactly (drop boat, unload raft, "Avast!", load horse on raft, pick up boat, cross river, drop boat, unload horse from raft, "Giddy up!", disassemble raft, load it into boat, pick up boat) every 2 mins all the time, so quest-grinding is definitely not for me (plus yesterday, I was granted with 2 quest for greeting new q-givers, and guess what? they both are out of world edge (one of them is 2 tiles beyond it)).

Chicken can be fed with anything edible. So, edible seeds can be used as swill. Inedible trees/bushes seeds can not (arguably, that should be fixed).

So they have no other purpose besides growing tress/bushes and crafting 1 curio?

Exception: Nightshade berry required to craft a pigment.
