You have ti aim manually. When you 'aim' you aim at an area, not a creature. So make sure there's nothing blocking your shot, the target doesn't move from the area, and you have decently green aim. Being closer helps too.

if it has stuff inside you walk really slow, yeah... like REALLY slow.
