I tracked a thief to a boat in the middle of a lake. Punched him unconscious. I didn't realize Murder wasn't a skill anymore, so I thought I'd leave him in a swamp to get killed by leeches. This doesn't seem to be working. After googling it appears I can murder with just rage now. How do I do that? I've tried attacking him but it just does 1 SHP to myself, leaves an assault scent and does nothing to him.

I was able to track his scents to his hearthfire, but now it says he doesn't have one. But he's still a body. I'm looking to get his skull.

Okay. How do I get his skull? What did I miss that would have let me know he was dead?

He's still taking HHP damage from the leeches.

I think that's a bug, still hasn't been fixed. Wait a while for the body to decay and it will turn into a skeleton, right click it and get the skull.

Will it decay just as fast indoors? or on my claim but outside?

Equally fast either way. It takes a couple days iirc.

Just don't forget that bodies that decay indoors may scatter items into the void.
