Advices :
- make your camp away from river, so griefers cant see it when they travel bye boat
- make a leanto ( 1/ player ), it can more or less "protect" 2 crates
- pose a claim, you can put more crates there, dry leather, make bone glue and ropes to make a palissade
- dont build anything until you can make a palissade, you dont need a house or paved ground, be discret.
- store anytything of value ( leather) in your inventory, and if a you see a stranger, log out
- ounce you'll have a claim and a palissade, you can begin to do stuffs.

Make no mistake. This has been going on since I started playing. It goes on any game where one player can force some form of negative engagement on another player, whether it is combat, theft, or some other form of frustration.

The issue is rather that the basics are not as self-evident for new players as the community makes it seem, and that this harms the playerbase and prevents it from growing.

Another issue is this constant arguing that since this and that happened in past worlds or in some other games, it's ok to dismiss fixes for them as an unimportant here and now.

^^^This. The game is so unintuitive that pro players will crush noobs outrageously, in every way. Obviously pros will always be more effective at a game they are pro at, but it shouldn't be to the point where I could say, effortlessly destroy an entire village of noobs.

Jorftar should look at everything pros do and ask themselves, is this intuitive? If not do they want to make it so?

With the help of a player from the forums we managed to successful build our little base now and - more important, create a working claim.
My friend said something.. I think good "I feel like everyone here got fear of everyone - everyone is running, boating.. fear of getting killed by other player" - hm. Haven and Hearth - the new survival horror game! ;-)

The game offers the players no direct incentive to socialize or interact peacefully with others. Killing people and stealing stuff is rewarding, but socializing isn't. There were plans to fix this but no one knows if they'll ever be implemented now.

Another question.

http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Palisade
This page says you need yeomanry for a palisade - learned it, but still can't build it.
So - what do I wrong?

Have you discovered all the materials yourself? This is usually the error. A lot of people haven't made the rope or glue with the character, or pulled leather from the tub even though they are laying around the camp.
