I find them here all the time, though unfortunately not today when I wanted to show them, lol. These graves have bodies in them but have been abandoned so flowers placed on them are not necessary for the mandrakes to spawn here.

The terrain is the same one Cork tree's and Plane trees grow on. I tried to find out the name of it by using the method described above in Amber but, I couldn't seem to make it show and neither can I find the quite detailed post someone made here listing the terrain types ... should be stickied seeing as the wiki has no info on terrain types.

Press SHIFT+i to turn resource names on and then press SHIFT while hovering the mouse cursor over the terrain. Sometimes you need to hold CTRL+SHIFT to see the name of the resource.

I've found three mandrakes on highground now. I'd say this is confirmed. :?:

I've seen this too as of today. :)

So terrains I've seen this on so far.

Moor, Highground and Grass (that you can plant yourself). So since the grass terrain can be had by all, there's no need to go searching for it anymore.

I found my first root a few days ago.

On "Grass" tile(s) , about 5 tiles away from 2 graves, Average Quality 34. I do not recall if it was day/night or what phase moon.... If it at all matters.

I've been past those graves a thousand times and only seen one root. I know of 3 other times players claim they seen a root at the same area.

****Update :

I found 2 more Mandrake Roots. At a different location than the first , same location for these two new finds.

The first, of these two, was about 11 tiles away from two graves, in a plowed Carrot field and within Village and P-Claim authority. The second was in pretty much the same location. It was in the same field and it was 16 tiles from the closest grave. The graves are covered in and surrounded by planted Grass. The field starts just 3 tiles away from the graves and inspection of the tile(s) describes the tile(s) as "Field"
