Use a friend and dont be afraid to leave a hive behind that proves to be too hard.

so only raid them close to water and pray for RNG give you 1 swarm

It's a pain in the ass cause its like raiding an anthill with a buddy to make it easier, only this time the buddy is crucial and you will suffer a heck ton more.
Still cheese-able at least, finna go out with my peeps tomorrow and try some if they spawn near water.

For newbies like me that found this thread without an answer, I will post it:
Since Bumble Pyre (2021-05-16) update was introduced, one can build and light bough pyre which will cause the bees from the beehive to dissapear which allows one to safely raid the bee hive.
