Or make it so that undry claims can only be bashed if you build a claim on that claim. No claim can dry or expand while the other exists.

This takes resources, the "attacker" then needs to spend to building a claim (so not a naked alt with zero investment just running up and smacking it.) then the land claim has an actual contesting system with an actual process and victor.

Allows players to push people out but removes the griefing/pointless claim bashing.

What if I don't want the land, I just don't want neighbors?

I don't necessarily hate this idea, or perhaps letting the castle doctrine work immediately. I'll have to think about it, but it sounds kinda reasonable.

But doesn't that too work the other way around? Now I can easily grief people because I can make alt with 10 uac and kick their asses if they try to destroy my annoying claim?

ye. you need an alt with yeomanry and 10ua to do something like that. also you need to wait 8 hours on your grief claim and opposite side have 8 hours to become stronger before challenging your grief claim.
and keep in mind that dudes you trying to grief can make infinity amount of anti-grief alts and kick your ass and you need to start over with that yeomanry thing. little too much just to grief.

Lower the initial dry time where anyone can bash a claim to 4 hours. Then make it so the claim is bashable with vandalism for the following 8. This gives more time for villages to deal with trolls while also making it easier for new players to get started.
