How do you catch fish?
Since I am using Bushcraft Fishingpole, using entrails as bait and my timer filled up like 10 times and I can see fish jumping out of the water. So what I am doing wrong.
Also I am quite new to this game.
Does the fishing pole has to be directly over the tile where the fish is jumping out of or is it just pure luck?

Try a different bait. Fish nodes can vary by the type of fish available. I'm still unsure if time of day or moon phase actually has any influence on this process.

There is some luck involved, but it doesn't have to be directly on a tile fish are jumping from. These can be somewhat random on the node itself. They're relatively large, so even fishing from the shore or shallows you should hit the node.

Does that mean I can just go and fish pretty much anywhere on the shore, even if there aren't any fish jumping out of the water?
