Perc 100, mm 30.
I am unable to kill a boar with 1 shoot but killed with 2, also I killed a moose with 3 shoots after surrounding it with branch stockpiles.

Also; does using a pickaxe help you destroy faster/do more damage?

Somehow I heard that even starter chars can destroy houses with lots of water and food. and pickaxe would help

Alright. Once I got on I realized my bow was only q13...guess that would explain my horrible accuracy...lol (my perc an mms aren't bad, just that bow was my original from when I first started hunting)

Is there a more noobie guide somewhere than sevenless's guide ?

I don't understand half the things he is saying and most of it is way over my head.

Just started playing and really really confused.

Thanks in advance for any help

Editing in a few questions in case there is not a starter guide.

1. Is there a voice prog used by a decent number of people for this game ? ie Discord, Ventrilo or Teamspeak ? If so could you post the address ?
2. The beginner quests have little markers pointing towards the NPC you have to talk to. I followed one for like 6 hours and then had to log out and eat. When I logged back in the pointer was pointing in the opposite direction. Since that time I have seen them change directions seemingly randomly even though I know for a fact its pointing in the wrong direction (I made a marker on my map). Question is.. Is there a way to update the pointer to make sure you are going the right way ?
Logging out and back in does not seem to fix it.
3. My first char died when I clicked raid on an ant hill (not KO but dead dead). Is it possible to re-use my chosen name? Right away when I made a new char it said I already had one by that name even though he was dead.

Will edit in more if that is ok or should I be going to a different spot ?

No, there isn't another beginner's guide. It's the best we have.

1. There have been a couple of lists, but voice channels tend to be faction oriented. There are Skype and IRC groups that are public.

2. Not sure what to tell you. The arrows have some issues. The general word is that "they work correctly with the default client and standard camera mode."

3. A name is only used once per account. You can always track your ancestry through the website, which is why you can only use a name once.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Type in
:cam ortho
to get to the camera mode that will point in the correct direction.

Is it possible to see effect of hemp smoking anywhere? I've smoked q30 buds till I got 100% "In the Fog", and yet hunger or FEP bonuses on the table did not change at all (I already have 37% hunger modifier and 22% fep from symbel).

Is leaf ore (or the other ores which give gold or silver) found in veins, or just one random tile here and there?

Should be able to be found in veins.
