Somehow I heard that even starter chars can destroy houses with lots of water and food. and pickaxe would help

If house is just built (fresh) it can eventually yield to barehanded fresh-spawn character. Pickaxe almost doubles the damage that fresh-spawn does. 10 STR results in 3dmg and pickaxe adds flat bonus of 2dmg.

Couple more questions if yall dont mind...

1. Food satiations: My forage is at like 53%, does that mean foods based on forage only yield 53% of what they are supposed to ?
2. Food Satiations: How do I lower these other than time ? I logged out for like 18 hours but they still look about the same as before I logged.
3. Base Attributes: Should ALL of these be raised closely to prevent waste or does it work differently than that ? Because I have found tons of food for certain stats and none for others, right now Psyche and Con seem darn near impossible for a new char to raise.
4. Food Event Points: It says total: 0/12 on the meter because I just gained a point. Now when I eat something that number changes (Agility +1: 1.31 and Perception +1: 0.66) Total is now 1.97/8.84 and I don't understand why it changed from x/12 to x/8.84
5. Hunger Level: Is there something other than time I can do to lower this ?

Thanks again, in advance, for y'alls help.

1. yeah.
2. once you have four satations under 50%, the lowest satation will reset to 100%
3. it is wise to raise your stats about the same, but in the end it's not too imporant. see answer 4 why it's not that important
4. food variety lowers the total number of points necessary to raise a FEP level. total number of points is based on highest attribute, so if your highest attribute is 50 con, your FEP bar requires 50 points. if you however eat a variety of different foods, the number will lower, encouraging eating a variety of food.
5. salt.

Also quests, though not sure how effective they are compared to getting salt or just "waiting it out." Anything is better than nothing.

Will note that there are ways to prevent food from filling hunger up as much.

http://ringofbrodgar.com/w/index.php?ti ... edirect=no (this is the legacy page, but basic information is still the same. Will see about getting this updated for the current world.

Also dried hemp buds once you can find hemp to grow and farm. These can be tedious to harvest if you don't log in often or can't get on at just the right time.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

tirioll wrote:Is it possible to see effect of hemp smoking anywhere? I've smoked q30 buds till I got 100% "In the Fog", and yet hunger or FEP bonuses on the table did not change at all (I already have 37% hunger modifier and 22% fep from symbel).

Do you know this?

In reference to quests, they do seem to help a little and give me something to do while waiting, but if I abandon all my current quests and move to another area (my starting area has 5 big bases nearby and like 20 noob hearths) will I get new quests for the new area or will I just be done with quests period ? I really want to move and start my own area but am afraid I wont get any new quests for that area.

Just check the wiki for gildable items/gilds, choose those with the highest chances and ideally with the same affinity for gilds/items to max chances (for example: straw hat has farming afinity and a feather trinket which is also farming, so depending on your farming skill the chance higher compare to the items with other than farming affinity).
http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Gildable_Equipment
http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Equipment_Gilding

Also, use recycling for 2 same items, where you got only 1 gild (you get either one empty item or an item with the additional gildable slot).

So far, once I managed to get 3 gilds on a straw hat with 2 farming gilds. Also, I did several double gilded items, the worst was to make clogs with 2 farming items, the chance was only 2%, but it worked eventually.

In your case with the nettle shirt (5-25%) and a taproot lacing (45-95%) (both survival items): with high enough survival (200?) you would get 25%*95% = 23.75% probability of getting a second slot. So rising your survival would definitely help.
