Why does it take sooooooo long to catch anything while fishing?
Do I have to fish directly over where the fish are jumping or it doesn't matter if there are fishing jumping out or not?
Can someone confirm, what gives 100% best results for a free user.

Fishing requires times....indipendant on where you are fishing, but rather from your pole/rod quality that determines the chance you have.

So the longest time per catching fish is up to 2 minutes?

Actually I have had a couple cupboards sitting outside my house on my claim and they've received no decayed at all. This has been over the course of several days.

But one day you log in and see nothing where the cupboard was.

Sure, but as I said, I've had a couple sitting outside for about a week.

As always, decays hits are random. They could sit there a month, or they could sit there less than a day. That I'm aware, it still only takes one hit to destroy them.

Is it possible to run out of quests?
Since I abandoned so many quests because they were so far away like 3 or 4 mini maps away and not the minimap in the corner, but the one you can expand with ctrl+a default size.
