3) Will building statues and filling the authority make the village claim stay active longer? If they raise the total authority but make it drain faster, I'm not sure if they would help or not.

Once it's in a cupboard, it's fine.

No clue, but one full trough should last 8 animals at least a week minimum.

To my understanding, they raise it by the same proportion it drains. So there is no net gain or loss. I haven't actually tested this, simply what I've heard from my m8ys.

Just to note, cheese ONLY changes on a cheese rack, so it doesn't matter where you store it as long as it isn't a rack.

For the animals, try to use animals that don't lactate. Cows and ewes that have given birth eat more per day than virgin animals.

And Onep is correct on the Authority. I forget the exact length, but no matter how much authority you can store, a full claim always lasts X days (was 21 in legacy if I recall right) if no more authority is generated during that time.

Mining Question...

I am trying to build an anvil so I can make some stuff that requires it but it is not showing under the Build --> Workstations because I have not "discovered" bar of hard metal yet.
I have found a couple types of ore and have smelted like 7 smelters full but have only received bar of tin from them.

Do I need a different type of ore to get the hard metal ? I did read two different mining guides and the wiki on mining but it is still confusing to me.

Thanks in Advance

The different ores produce different metals, here is the list from the wiki;

http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Ore

Hard metals are bronze, cast iron, wrought iron and steel. Bronze is made from two bars of copper and one of tin.

Thank You for the clarification, Guess I just didn't see it or understand it before even though I read that wiki 10 times over.

How many minimum of leeches should I have be equipped for them to start treating my injures?
Since I was using only one and it got bloated 3 times and my blunt trauma and swollen bump points haven't been converted to leeches burn.

There is only a moderate chance for a leech to convert a wound. It's better than 1 in 10, but worse than 1 in 4. This is per tick, of course, and as far as I know, is also dependent on the amount of damage they deal (quality of leech).

a couple more noob questions as I am still pretty new I wanted to check with yall veterans and see if I am planning this correctly or if I am going about it all wrong.

I have 4 characters, each on a different account. I am keeping them all studying.

Char 1: Main char focusing on learning all the skills so he can make everything, ability focus on exploration and survival. Does lots of quests to keep hunger at 300%
Char 2: Hunting alt focusing on primarily combat and hunting skills, ability focus on unarmed, marksmanship exploration and survival. Does lots of quests to keep hunger at 300% and Energy above 8000
Char 3: Mining Alt focusing on skills that help in mining, ability focus none (currently has 16K lp I dont know where to put) has Mining, Metal Working, Stone working, Tunneling, attribute focus on strength, Hunger level I dont worry about
char 4: Labor alt focusing on nothing (has 15k lp I dunno where to spend) basically use for chopping trees, clay gathering, digging, anything that eats stamina.

For Curiosities I generally break them into 3 categories, 8hrs and under, over 8 but under 24 and 24 hours and over. Main studies mostly under 8 hrs, hunter studies mostly mid and laborers study mostly 24 and over

Base: I live alone (dont know anyone here yet) and have been working on the basics. Just starting gardening and farming. Do alot of mining but held up cause I cant find any ore to make hard metal. Died a couple times but learning as I go.

Eating: Main and Hunter I get to under 5% Hunger before feasting then sit them at the tables (all four chars) around the bonfire and feast til energy is full. Laborers I do at the tables when the main feasts but in between they just sit at a table and feast on whatever I have the most of just to get energy. I dont focus them on variety or best gaining ratio

So basically thats it, in a nutshell. Any advice or critique would be most welcome.
