Are Wild Windsown Weed hardcaped? Since it seems if it has new seed it will be hardcaped by quality 10. Or is it just coincidence?

Forageables are hardcapped by your survival. Their raw quality is determined by local quality nodes.
I think it's made of bubbles and hate.

What determines the owner of a study desk? Is it the person who finishes it or something?

This dreadful ailment's heavy toll;
The spleen is what the English call it,
We call it simply, Russian soul.”

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

In Q&A there's info about Jorb and Lofter that they were doing this over 8 years, not sure what they meant by that like the university or haven and hearth in general?
Also they have done 3 projects, what are they well besides Haven and Hearth and Salem, unless we include the 3rd being legacy. Does anyone know what are those 3 projects, besides the obvious and what they meant by doing over 8 years? Besides Haven and Hearth being out 2008 according to earliest screenshot from the media, unless it came out in 2007 not including development, so maybe 8 years come in just right there, not sure, but what about those 3 projects?

Sorry for a long question, plus rant.

As far as I can tell,

1.The person can own only 1 study desk at time.
2.Yes, the person who finishes construction of a study desk owns it. But if that person owns another study desk, that previous desk becomes unowned.
3.Anybody can claim unowned study desk, the flower menu case "claim" appear on right click on unowned desk. If the claimant owns another desk, his previous desk, in turn, becomes unowned.

4.If the owner of study desk dies, nobody can claim his desk at the moment. Obviously, this is a bug.

How welfedness meter works?

Does welfendess meter of an animal drops only when satiety meter rests at zero, i. e. given animal is starving? Can welfedness drop with low, but not the lowest possible value of the satiety meter?

Thanks!

Another qq I just thought of--what's better for fires, sticks or blocks of wood? Intuitively it'd seem to be blocks of wood to me, just like IRL, but everywhere I see people talking about putting sticks in the fire instead.

There are different applications of fuel. For the campfire and cauldron it is irrelevant whether one fuels it with sticks, blocks or coal.

For the kiln, smelter, oven etc., on the other hand, the quality of used fuel is a factor used in calculations of the quality of the final product. So, it is in user's interest to use the best available fuel.

Blocks have the quality equal to the quality of the tree log from which they are chopped off.
Coal have the quality slightly lower than the quality of the nearest quality node at the place when it was mined out. It is quite problematic to find a coal of q100+.
The quality of the charcoal is determined by the quality of the kiln and the quality of the boards/blocks used.

Finally, the sticks can be created from the wood block, using an axe, and their quality will be an average between the quality of an axe used and the quality of the wood block. Since now even q60 wood blocks are considered "lower than average quality", and q150 axes are available for trade, sticks are the obvious choice for day-to-day tasks requiring high-q fuel. But note also that smelter can be fueled only with coal.
