So what's the point of it showing more LP when it rolls to 6? because anyway once its put in study table will always be at 1?
Development error? Since if it always be studied at 1, then the LP amount shouldn't change if it was rolled either 1 or 6, because by default it will be studied as 1 anyway.

The point of defaulting to 1 when being put into a study after taking it out is to disable the exploit you're after.
It'll roll correctly once when put into the study the first time, but should you try to game it...

Just to be clear, you can roll for a random number in your study exactly one time. This is done by placing the die in the study window. When you remove a die from the study window, it locks it to only rolling a one when placed in the study window again. You can try again by using a different die, but not the same ones you have attempted to used previously.

They're mediocre curios at best even if you could get all sixes, though they are decent enough and low enough ATTN at high quality to make a decent filler if you want to make some and take the chances. Just figure on the average of what you'll get over time (3.5 multiplier), though, and not the chances of getting a six... unless you just want to spam that many dice.

I've looked around, but I can't find the right information.

I am about to build a palisaded mine hole. Does it matter which the ladder is facing? Can a minehole be entered from any angle? When coming up the minehole, do you always exit at the ladder? Should there be a certain amount of clearance around the minehole?

I just want to make sure I have it setup right when I build it. I know the door should be facing inwards, but I am not sure about the other orientations.

No edit: Actually yes, the ladder should be facing the pali gate if you want to get in/out easily.
Yes
Yes
No edit: only if you have the ladder facing anywhere other than the pali gate.

I just built my first minehole and built the palisade as tightly as I could around it, so the whole thing + pali takes up a 5x5 grid. It looks slightly awkward but it works just fine. The only fiddly part is, to close the pali gate, you have to click on the bit of it that doesn't overlap the minehole (otherwise you just go into the mine). I'll get a screenshot and edit it into this post so you can see.

Does that have any issues with coming up from the bottom with the gate closed?

Is it worth using a bonfire for a single player? My understanding of it is that it's better with more players, but will I still have some kind of benefit using it alone?

Nope. I mean, other than that you can't open it if you've got it oriented properly and you've only got the slave key. But theoretically if you had the master key, you'll be able to open/close it no problem from either side.

The bonfire bonus is something like the person starting the fire X the number of players feasting. I don't recall anyone explicitly testing the mechanic since it was reimplemented.
