With each quest that introduces another questgiver.

Just for the clarity, the first quest you start searches for a questgiver in a set radius around you, but when another npc gives you a quest, he searches for another npc in a radius around him, so it can get relatively farther and farther away from your base. The distance between questgivers doesn't change, it's just that questgivers make a "chain" that goes further and further as you complete quests.

Can you claim Localized Resources?

It started that way and was changed to no claiming with personal claims. There are still a few with claims over them.

You can always wall them in and put a Village claim over them. I think that still works. Means you would need to siege the village to get to it.

Also as a bonus: I think that :cam ortho -h will give you ability to freely turn it instead of it snapping to angles.
