As far as I know, the only thing you can build an animal can't break (for the purposes of hunting, so things that are built and blocking an animal immediately) is a hearth fire.

Animals can break hearth fires easily. Not sure about foxes and badgers, but others do it for sure.

Not the active hearthfires (i.e those with blue-greenish fires, not abandoned).

I'm playing alone and interested in hunting mainly deer/boar.

The biggest problem with that in W10 seems to be the fact that animals start to run very early in the process. Deers after ~25 damage and boars after ~50 I think. The question is how to keep up with them to kill. Either chase (easy with boar, not so with deer) or trap them. You probably can try to one-shot a deer with a bow, just remember that arrow q now softcaps the result.

Animals can't break bushes or boulder. Mother nature's what enemy: itself

Does ancient root really heal equal to its quality? So if I have 60 survival it will heal 60 hhp? I don't remember it being this good but that's what the wiki says.

I got mauled by a bear and I am considering making a new char

Need answer ASAP lol

You probably can't one-shot anything as a begginer. Not with the nerfs to archery.

Exactly.
After I trap my target I can't do enough damage with a bow to actually kill him. I realize it is because of my low PERC...should I try to use a sling?

In W10? Sounds a bit dodgy if it's true, might lead to abuse if we can now indirectly destroy others hearthfires in the wild...
