They will not remain in combat stance forever. Have you left the sheep alone for any longer period of time?

Ive logged off and on, but i also live with a village. I was thinking it may of been in a combat stance around them, but I am the one holding the rope all the time.

If it is hitched to a post there's no need for the rope.

If it isn't hitched to a post then it will not assume combat stance ever.

Ok, when the animal is at it's combat stance we need to attack it i guess, and fight until it start running right? than stop the combat and that's all or do i need to feed it with another clover or something?

When the animal yields you rehitch it to the post and repeat until it turns into the tame version.
