Tea is still a thing. You get leaves and seeds when gathering from tea bushes. Tea bushes appear to be rare spawns in some grassland biomes, we discovered 3 in a heath. You need to dry your tea leaves on a herb table before you can use them. =)

Special permission zones within a village. Something like, if you have a noob zone where you accept people freely into. You can give everyone vand/theft/tres in a segment of your village to let them do their thing. They'd still have to leave scents anywhere else if they wanted to steal things.

Nope! When used with certain combat moves that you can learn it allows you to defend against attacks using your melee combat skill instead of your unarmed combat skill.

What skills are required to build a log cabin?

Just carpentry I think.
