How do i find metal? i have mining and been mining for a while now but found no metal at all. Tried all diffrent kind of material to mini on but nothing but some cat gold.

mine in caves, if you find stone, just move 5-10 tiles next to it and try again, youll find some ore eventually

you need to put them in a smelter for like 1 hour to obtain metal, although the chance is rather small

Well i can't mine one kind of rock cos its too hard, so in the mine im in theres a very limited area i can mine. Really been here for hours and nothign to show for it.

Mining it's not really an early game activity....you need strenght and a good quality tool, and rustroot it's a better option to find ore, but it's tricky.

Says you. I've never had a problem finding ore on the first or second day. This is just the first world I don't have metal bars yet (cause of the quality and coal changes... haven't gotten that miner alt ready yet.)

If you read his account creation date, probably you wouldn't want to suggest him starting mining....he really seems a new player.

Doesn't matter. Big thing with mining is having a good source of food as you can burn up your energy very fast. With all the changes recently, I'd rather mine than hunt.

I can't find the answer to this in wiki, and search funtion here is not helping me much, so here is my question.

Has anyone else noticed that mining is softcapped by the ql of the tool plus the level of masnory divided by 2?
