How do I find images to post on the wiki? I would like to pull them off havenandhearth.com, such as for

Image

using http://www.havenandhearth.com/mt/r/gfx/invobjs/trollhelm

However, I would like to find a list of the object names somewhere in my computer's files so I don't have to guess "trollhelm". I haven't been able to guess any of the goat's cheeses, for example. It used to be in .haven somewhere I think, but they reorganized the files and I can't find it now. Any help would be appreciated.

ricky wrote:Here's how to get perfect transparent item files:

go to this link: http://www.havenandhearth.com/mt/r/gfx/invobjs/hedgehog
replace "hedgehog" with the name of whatever item you want.
Sometimes it's not readily apparent however.
for example, wooden shovel is called shovel-w: http://www.havenandhearth.com/mt/r/gfx/invobjs/shovel-w

if you can't figure out the item's name immediately, romovs has a listing of all item names:
https://github.com/romovs/amber/blob/ma ... properties
he keeps it pretty up to date, so you should be able to find any item you need there, or at least what format to use

Cheers and thanks for working on the wiki

I used this post as an instruction.
But still There many tips: about cheese - there is http://www.havenandhearth.com/mt/r/gfx/ ... heesename*
1. If u have a problem just find something same in romovs list - i just found cows cheese - saw how it named and use same option to goat. (romovs list updates but slow - u cant find new items immediatly - need to wait a month or two after release)
2. Also u can shift+ctrl+i in amber client then drop an item on ground, point it with cursor and use shift+ctrl this will show an item resource name on your cursor.
3. Sometimes nothing helps - so we do some advanced techniques to find it =)
4. Im in Hedhehugs discord - u can ask me directly or in wiki chat.

It would be nice if someone with more fighting experience than I could write a guide to the beaver dens and how they work.

A lot of paving styles are missing from the paving page, notably some metals and bricks.

I find it slightly troublesome to calculate the FEPs staitics for variable ingredient products. Let's take the example of an Egg Cake. Can you tell what combination of ingredients is the most efficient in terms of FEPs per hunger? Clearly, they are not equal in that regard. Or which one gives you most constitution FEPs? Surely, but it takes time, and it would be even harder if there were more ingredient combinations.

I think that information could be presented the same way as it is in the FEP Table. That is, not the modifiers, but only the final values should be presented, because this is what players are usually interested in. Columns with only 0's can be skipped to make it smaller. In addition, the table would be become sortable and would contain Hunger per FEP column. This way I would need just one click to tell which Egg Cake gives most intelligence, and so on.

Opinions? I'm going to add some missing information soon (e.g. here Chicken Salad) and I was wondering if the current format shouldn't be replaced with something more handy.

I think the Fep Table is better, we tried implement that doc into wiki, but failed. And I too lazy to write all just by hands, do variable materials in any way you want, whatever u do helps wiki.

If I'm reading between the lines correctly (from jorbtar statements), each food type has a modifier that works with the base recipe via some linear algebra to produce a final result. Now... figuring out what those values are... Good luck with that. It's beyond my skills in math. If we could figure out the values, then there'd be no need for a large table, just various entries and the rest is math.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Feel free to try and make a new FEP variation table. Currently I think having it on a per food basis is still the easiest way to handle it. some foods are easier to fully test than others for now, and there always seems to be a new variable food added whichs comes and creates even more work. I feel as long as we can accurately record the "base" fep for the item, people can spend some time and find their favorite variation. if they spend the time to add their findings to the wiki, even better.

While i'm here:

I'm looking for some images of in-game objects, mostly crops right now

(requesting pictures in a specific format will most likely deter anyone from helping me, but oh well.
if you feel like taking some pictures of your crops, could you please make it look as much like the default client as possible?
daytime, ortho view, no crop timers, no single crop toggle, fully grown, preferably no triple stacked trellises
we need:
beetroots
carrots
cucumbers
flax
grapes
hops
lettuce
peas
peppercorn
pipeweed
pumpkin
red onion
yellow onion

we also need pictures of:
border Cairn,
beach salvage
a sublime portico.

daytime pictures preferably.

thanks anyone who follows these inane rules
