The wiki just scared the shit out of me. So I was smoking opium to try and get rid of my infected sore. After my entire infected sore was smoked away, I went ahead and smoked the rest of the opium in my pipe because I didn't want to waste any. While I'm waiting for the buff to tick down, I check the wiki to see what it says about the dragon's bite wound, when I see this:

I immediately checked my chasing the dragon buff and see a 21. 21 x 30 = 620. My character has 380 hhp. It instantly hits me that my character is going to die, and there is nothing I can do.
I'm waiting there anxiously while the buff ticks down, and finally when the buff hits 0%, this:

... what?
Even now, I have no idea what the wiki means by 30 HHP per point. Thanks a lot wiki, you almost gave me a heart attack. It would be great if that was clarified a little.

I believe what happens is the -10 CON debuff from dragon's bite takes a good chunk of your HHP (on top of the regular damage dragon's bite does), so if you're a sprucecapped noob who has 10 CON and you get dragon's bite, you'll probably die.

someone should definitely test that though.

Until we get that clarified, I think it's better to move that over to the discussion page. That seems pretty silly to me in the first place, and then there's trying to avoid speculation on the information page vs actual facts from game data or experimentation. I'll leave a note about it on the Talk page.

Alright, so I decided to do a test with opium. I had 2 characters, one with 10 con, the other with 11 con. I got both of their chasing the dragon buffs up to 4 points.


After waiting for their buffs to tick down, I came away pretty disappointed. Apparently it is not possible to get 0 con, as both of them ended up at 1 con.


Their health remained consistent with the health equation: Max HP = 100 x √ (con/10), so max HP = 100 x .316


And the dragon bite wound seems to be a 1:1 conversion from the points on the chasing the dragon buff.


The original wiki contributor for the dragon bite wound must have been a little misguided.

I think it got a nerf after first implemented. I'd have to dig through the old patch notes, though, to be sure.

Good to know you can't drop below 1 CON, though, and that probably holds true for all attributes.

Now that I think about it, because of the math, you probably can't go below one on anything because multiplication by 0. (or even a negative number!)

not sure about all grasslands, but pretty common on http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Grass. billions of them

Anybody able/willing to do step-by-step guide on how to turn regular image into something that won't be completely mangled by the HnH conversion? Essentially you need to download GIMP and make custom palette (it may be called something else) but I'm not expert on it.

@ vatas - a good and better place is the Wizard Tower here at forums for such ... we had discussions about putting modding stuff at the RoB Wiki but came to the conclusion it wouldn't be a good place and could confuse non experienced players too much ... (also there would have to be someone to do maintance ... who knows the topic very well)
