Slave keys on the other hand let people leave the village but not re-enter without out using their hearthfire.
My gates are already built with all doors facing outwards,
would I have to destroy and rebuild the gates to set them up to work with a slave key ?
And am I right in that slave key only opens a gate from the direction it opens from (ie from inside the base if facing outward)

Yes my HF is inside the base, but I am not the only member so just want to set it up as securely as I can for everyone involved.
