Does cave clay still exist? I dug in a shallow pool we found in our mine but it was just regular ball clay.

Cave clay appears on the surface of shallow water just like gray clay. It is very rare and even more rarely can appear just on the floor of the cave, where the water is not even close (maybe it's a bug).To see it, you need to have a decent value of perc*exp.

Same as everything. Map needs to unload to spawn new stuff. Takes 10-20 mins since last person visited it. Usually you should be fine if you go to cave after 15min.
