Didn't someone post a guide to that? I thought that's what you were asking last night when I saw your post, but hesitated posting anything because I wasn't sure if it was what you were asking, or where that guide was at (my best search landed 10 pages of results to browse).
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Perhaps they are referencing this thread: viewtopic.php?f=48&t=58624
Edit: I just put together a guide in a new thread because a couple people have been asking: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=61438

I think the recycling section of the gilding page needs updating. When recycling 2 piece of equipment, there are a few outcomes. The equipment could have the most recently added gilding be removed, become gildable again, or be destroyed. When the most recently added gilding is removed, it will either be destroyed or given back to you (I think the gilding also has it's quality averaged with the equipment. Not entirely sure.) I can't speak for the chances of anything happening, and whether it matches the gilding chances.

Yes. All day. Just didn't want to be the first to say something.
Just because someone has no money doesn't mean they don't work.
Just because someone hasn't paid doesn't mean they don't want to.
Those who believe otherwise need more "REAL LIFE" experience

If it persists I'll message the server owner, but probably not until Monday (alternatively if someone else who has his email feels more compelled than I do to message him, be my guest)

Hopefully it resolves itself.

Message send - Can't pass up this nice opportunity to ask for a minor mw-extension upgrade. :)
