not anymore

Needs evidence? I don't recall seeing it in patch notes, anyway.

I have planted a tree a couple of hours ago, but inspecting it now tells me only the quality, not the grown rate. Why? Is it stomped?

A) Tar kiln is flat rate
B replies) not anymore
I reply) Needs evidence

The patch notes was my point. Anything to the contrary needs evidence...

i filled two quality 32 tar kilns with elm and spruce, respectively, and a third quality 20 tar kiln with pine and lit them all at the same time

both q32 kilns finished at the same time, while the q20 kiln took ~14 hours longer

this either implies that pine takes longer to burn or that quality has an impact on burn time

e: btw spruce and pine both made exactly 10l of tar, elm made 3.62

you should run an experiment where you burn two types of the same wood in the two different quality kilns and post results.

And are you sure your tar kiln didnt simply fill up with tar? their cap is 10l, so if you dont check it every now and then it will cap off and you'll lose tar

If I use 70 tarsticks and 50 bough in my house's roof, will it end as a tar or as a green roof?

There is no house that requires 120 thatching material. Let us suppose instead that you are building a timber house or stonestead, which each need 30 thatching material.

Every different kind of bough is a different kind of green, so if you want a tarstick roof you can use 6 tarsticks and *not more than 5 each* of spruce/elm/straw/etc. If you can't find all the different boughs, use 7 tarsticks and 6/6/6/5 boughs/straw.
