We digging stones that are below us, at level 1, it can be confirmed by prospecting. In W9 I had never seen porphyry, marble or cinnabar on level 1. If nothing was changed then answer is no, it's impossible to dig porphyry on mountain terrain.

Confirmed. I've never seen porphpryryrp on a mountain.
Hornblende, marble, poprhpyryph and cinnarbar can't be obtained from mountain terrain.

hornblende can be dug up from a stone plateau on normal grassland.

Can confirm, the stone patch next to my village is like 90% hornblende
