Agility + UAC enough, or should I level up strength and constitution up aswell? I heard strength modifies damage dealt, not so much though.

Constitution is definitely good, especially with how fighting stronger stuff generally slowly grinds you down. Strength is obviously useful, but the least important. You don't need melee at this stage, but using UAC to make/restore openings with melee attacks (0 MC required) to do damage is the most efficient right now.

Personally I'd go all three.

Not true. A minehole (and cave) entrance not counts as a gate, and any person that comes through it don't get visitor debuff even if palisade door are just next to it. If minehole will surrounding by palisade without any gap, coming person will appear in the centre of minehole, still without debuff, and to get this debuff he or she needs to move through gates. If they don't, they can turn on criminal acts and even destroy the minehole. It is true for personal claim. On the village claim, if it persist on surface and underground, any visitor will not lose their already received (from gates) debuff if will go to minehole, but this is not works with two personal claims even belonging to the same owner.

I was going to ask the same question, and I've not fully understand the reply. If I build a wall with gates around my minehole but with no gap between walls and holes, can they only spawn on the centre of minehole or can they abuse some bug to spawn over the wall (thus avoiding the visitor debuff)? If I build a 4x4 wall can I solve this problem? (I prefer the 3x3 solution, tbh).

Am I safe if I have village on surface & lvl 1 without the needing of a wall around the minehole?

Just how rare is cave clay? I have access to four underground shallow pools and a per*exp of 3160 and I have yet to see any. Starting to think pit clay is the only dependable source of fine clay.

I don't know about such bugs, but it is still risky letting people to enter your claim without visitor debuff. It is better to completely exclude the ability to turn on criminal acts, and in that case village claim works better.

Theoretically, yes, if you have a walled settlement underground too.

In W9 I had 2x3 wall, but I discovered that I can't close the door behind me when I need to go to the mine on horse. I had to dismount in the mine, go back up the ladder and close the door. It was uncomfortable. :)

the problem with cave clay is nobody really seems to know whether it's just rare, extremely hard to see, fate, or some combination thereof

Yes, I have a village claim on surface, I am just scared that if someone comes from underground he can jump inside the wall avoiding the debuf....

is 2x3 even possible? Anyway, why should I close the door if there is the visitor debuff?

Does the quality of fodder affect breeding animals? Or does the quality only affect animal products ( wool, milk)?

IIRC, quality of fodder eaten softcaps everything you get from them, including offspring. It is a running average over a period of X days (think it's 20, but been a while since I've done husbandry.)

If I build an house with the door on a claim, but not entirely on that claim, is that house protected from others? Do they have to turn on criminal act in order to enter/destroy it?

If someone can access any part of something without criminal acts, they can do what they will. I'll note that a house partly on a claim, with the door on the claim, can only be entered with trespassing/criminal acts.
