They go into a pool of trash that can be fished from or end up in beach debris. The pool is global as far as I know, so even stuff dropped in cave water should end up in there.

There's also an unrelated thing involving logging out in shallow water while lifting a liftable object, which will make the object disappear for good. That has nothing to do with the trash system though.

I remember to have read something about this, but I spent 20 minutes in order to find it with no success.

Is the quality of the water from the well linked on the quality of the nearby water node? i.e. If I have a river with Q20 water and build a well on the coast, will it be ~Q20 or random?

Working strategy to find high quality water nodes? :D

The in-game tool tip is in game time, so need to divide by 3.29 for real time IIRC.

I'm 100% sure they're adjusted to real time, pearls are showing 1 hour - which is their IRL study time.

That's an Amber feature IIRC. The default tooltips are in ingame time.
