What's the best thing to do for quick tar? I know it takes about 3.5 days to burn a load, but I'm needing tar right now more than coal. Is there a certain preference on wood type? Blocks vs Boards?

Certain wood does give more tar than others. I know pine for sure, heard spruce as well but have not verified.

Pine blocks will give you the most tar. Most sources I've found say it'll give 10L, but I've found that I can get 10L out of a kiln filled with pine blocks after a couple days, and then it fills up with a little extra.

Someone please explain why you can relight the fireplaces but not the bonfires?

Seriously though lighting a fire is fucking cancer in this game. Takes up half of your stamina to start one and that's even IF it doesn't go out before you light shit. Agh Jorb whyy?!

allow me to introduce you to your new best friend

the torch can be lit like a branch and can be used to turn on other things, and they dont go off by themselve, you can equip them to have a movable fire surce at hand, and you can put it in a stand lit so it will stay like that for a while. you just need tar and an alredy lit source of fire and you are good to go.

agh darlin thats old news. I know about the torches and matches all that shit. Keep up with me here. Unless you have someone standing at the bonfire refueling it, shits gonna go out. I'm asking why can't we relight them like the fireplaces do. No sticks needed nothin. What if I just wanted to have a bonfire and not a fireplace as well? I'm fucked. Also, who in their right mind is gonna waste brimstone on matches....I mean come on.
