Rightio, FEED ME MORE ANSWERS OM NOM NOM

So food efficiency right? I've been keeping it hovering around the 200% - 100% mark and only eating when it pops over into 200%

Thing is now I found out that it drops down faster at lower levels AND the variety bonus isn't as powerful too

SO, what do you lads have your F.E at? Is it better to eat all the food you have and let it drop down when you are offline or keep it at higher F.E?

Personally I usually wait till half of 300% and then eat with my villagemates on banquetes till 100%

Because of the way the system works internally. The devs are currently working on a system to fix this. The last big patch was supposed to be it, but I guess it didn't turn out as expected at the end.

Really depends on how much food you can reliably produce. You're just fine eating at the 100 and 90% levels, but you'll fill satiations faster per FEP and you need more variety foods. The amount of food you need can get borderline stupid.

FYI, the variety bonus is based on the number of total FEPs needed to trigger an event. You don't get a bonus to it at the 200 and 300% levels, and don't take a penalty to it at the 90 and lower levels. 0.632 * sqrt (max stat) -- http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/FEP#FEP_R ... _Reduction

Makes me curious of your reaction when you encounter a troll.
I would panic but at least i'd know what it was, when a freaky green haired antler thing runs out of the forest at high speeds towards you I'd hope it's a natural reaction to scream like a cornered bunny internally and jump off the nearest enclosed cliff

if my Salem days taught me anything it's that TREE PEOPLE ARE EVIL :x

I was convinced I read that the variety bonus is lowered at higher hunger levels not sure where I read it, good to know that im wrong.

As for Hunger levels here's this straight from the horses mouth
- It depends on whether food or time is your limiting factor, I guess. If you have plenty of food then by all means burn through it. If you have less you'll get more for each unit. The idea is to have a system that rewards your particular playstyle. Jorb

Still would like to know how other folk go about this

What are the other things that I can put in Kiln that isn't made out of clay, isn't boards or bones?
Or are they the only things that can be put in kiln currently?

You can put any of the pitbaked goods in there to cook, they take 4 branches just like pies in ovens. Not sure if there's anything else.
