Is it missing it's hide? There appears to be random chance that the carcass fails to disappear and be replaced with pile of bones on the ground when last piece of meat is butchered from it. This is known bug but nobody knows how to reproduce it, meaning devs can't fix it.

Yes, in fact if you put containers around the chair so you can access them you can feast out of them too and still get the bonus

I get that tunneling nets more metal from ore but does Steelmaking & Metallurgy increase the amount of ores or just the quality?

My miner ALT has the nexcessary LP for both so I'm trying to see if it's better to dump the LP into masonary and go clay hunting for the kiln/plant pots, or get the two skills.

shallow is easier, imho
