I know this is asked all the time, but as it is a new combat system for me and I honestly do not think I can handle another death right now, I will ask.
Assuming I am only mediocre with the new combat system (mostly just brute forcing my way through animal kills; with the occasional worry about my openings being too high) are the following stats enough for me to tackle a bear?

Following stats include any itmes/gildings I have that are buffing me already:
Str: 132
Agi: 127
Con: 68 (260 hp)
UA: 90
MC: 140
Armor Class: 95/85
Weapon: Q99 Hirdsman's Sword

You need a tamed horse. With it, turn on 3rd speed (the one that isn't gallop but still drains pony power). Now you can kite a bear while hitting him and if things go wrong just run away. Also like this you can "safely" find out if you're strong enough to take on bears.

Thanks.

Any idea how a bear compares to a moose in terms of combat difficulty?

Bear is weaker. Slower, too. Generally if you have a horse and don't get off of it you should have an easy time killing bears, moose are stronk though and will fuck your shit up if you're not careful.

So Porticos give you Travel Weariness when used based on the distance traveled and Charisma; do Charter Stones also apply Travel Weariness or do you only get it from the Portico and not the Charter Stone?

Fast travel via means other than hearthing home and roads generates travel weariness. The only difference is that a portico is one way (outgoing) and a charterstone can be used either direction.

Can a portico be built on personal claims?

Also the preferesed vessel for drinks on the wiki seems kinda od. Wine to be drank in a mug? Tankard for beer but no mentioned of drinking horn? Can anyone elaborate?

Also, does a bonfire's radius affect tables inside a building?

Portico needs a village claim

Wine--wine glass
Beer--tankard
Tea--tea cup
Milk-- any (IIRC)

No, tables need to be outside. I've heard requests to allow bonfires inside the great hall for feasts.

Ah shit, sorry about that. I whipped up that drink/satiation table rather quickly. I changed the wine to wine glass as it should be.

I can only assume a drinking horn works for beer, but it wasnt mentioned in the drink update, so until someone confirms it, i'm gonna leave it off
