^^ Yeah, I have thought the exact same thing and agree, would look so much better.

Oh, nice job!
They look pretty nice. They're quite similar to the Retreat houses, too :D Though I use tarsticks instead of straw and schist instead of granite.

Good work :D

PS: Gotta love larch :D

I built mansion (on the right) for silk. Only response I got from villagers when I asked them what wood they'd like, was pine. It happened to be abundant so I decided to try it out.

Stone is 100% marble, tried mixing in granite so that it would be tertiary stone but 70 wasn't apparently enough.

Thatching is spruce because I thought "you can't make straw dolls from all those q10 boughs that cling into spruces without doing anything useful."

One villager's response: "It's not that bad. I guess one can get used to it."

That's what I'll use if I need to build any more mansions, and used it for my knarr.

Does anyone have a pic set of how the differing metal coldrons look? I do love my shiny silvery Tin one, but I would love to see how the rest looks.

A very sensible use of colors indeed, 'tis a beauty.

Here, have a copper one for starters.

Note that you can't make a cauldron out of silver or gold, because, apparently, since one of the latest patches "A Bar of Precious Metal" doesn't count as "A Bar of Any Metal" (which is sad).
