does anyone know how the quality of dhelms is determined? the wiki is missing a lot of formulas for jewelry and high-end armor qualities, especially things that require stuff other than a skin or precious metal

( 4 * QavrMats + 1.5 * Qanvil + 1.5 * Qhammer ) / 7

This might be formula for most of metal stuff. Or at least it was back in the old days.
Silver/gold ql is probably not counted in though.

So I guess I got lucky and found some quality clay near my house...
  1. Is having quality clay at all considered a huge boon or does it need to be like 50+ to be valuablebecause everyone is a tryhard?
  2. Does harvesting from clay nodes still lower the quality?
  3. I read that ball clay respawns fairly quickly, are clay nodes any different? Do node tiles have a higher maximum capacity?
Thanks in advance.

q50+ clay is considered low. I doubt that anyone wants to buy it.

Harvesting does not lower quality.

Ball clay respawns in a few days. Some tiles hold more clay than the others.

1. 50 is average
2. yes, but it takes 100s of digs
3. there's a center node with the highest quality, and it spreads out from that point. each tile contains ~5 clay, and will respawn in about 1 rl day

Jeepers, that's kinda strange to me considering how many equipment switches you need to do with the new guilding system. I've never had 3+ sets of clothing I'm switching on/off before.
