Bascially I'm trying to see if it's better to have a V-Claim or a few P-Claims. I want to extend my land downwards into a minehole I just plopped down.

Guess the question is per day how much does a v claim cost over a p claim

Pclaim= yeomanry + 4k LP +. LP to expand to correct size + upkeep on the bond

Vclaim = law speaking + 30k LP + banners everywhere +upkeep on authority

A pclaim the size of a village costs 100 000lp. Generally vclaims are better for large areas and underground places.

not to mention that anyone living on a vclaim can help out with the upkeep cost vs one character having to pay for tons of pclaims with a smaller study because of bonds.

That's good to know, I've got three Toons that I'm LPing at the same time and it is for expanding downwards

Village is the way to go then.

What curios are efficient for a new player to get his/her LP up quicker. Also a more recent way to get LP better.
I've done some searches and see some stuff was nerfed like the mirkwood offerings.

Mirkwood is still good but not broken like it was, feather trinket is nice, seer's bones is alright, swan feathers, scent glands, etc. is all good in the early-mid game.

If you're in the absolute early game wearing spruce clothes and not being able to kill any animal, for quick LP do feather trinkets (kill a lot of chickens), build a study desk from their bones, and keep it filled with cone cows, dandelions, seer's bones (made from chicken bones) and feather trinkets (chicken feathers). Cone cows are very, very good for noobs.

When you're not afraid of raiding anthills, raid every single one, then put every ant queen, empress and soldier in your study desk too. Otherwise you could keep the ant queens and empresses for later trading, but it would probably take too much time until trading is viable and worth it, so just study them.

Does the quality of animal get averaged against any weapon you use? I haven't used a bow in forever, and boars I punch to death are generally better than the ones I slap around with a crappy sword.

I've heard that Hide Q is softcapped by each time by your arrows

It's strange though, because I've killed 2 bears with a sling and bow giving q5 and q9 (bows/sling + ammo all q10+) respectively. However other animals gave me higher Qs, using less shots on them, so there may be something to do with no. too. :?:
Mr. Boar doesn't like you....

Each arrow softcaps the quality of the animal whole, not just hide. Softcapping with Q10 arrows is effectively halving the quality of the animal with each arrow.
