It's a display bug with the table, it doesn't seem to check the timer that starts when the trees sprout (and kills them when it runs out). Opening the table refreshes the data and it'll notice that the pots have been neglected for to long and they died.

You have to plant them from the pots in time. Same with silkworms, leave them for to long and they'll vanish.

Ohhh... I did not realize that sprouted pots had a limited time for living. Thanks for the information!

If I have a palisade that is claimed, but no squared around it are claimed, could someone build a new palisade, connect it to mine, wait for it to set, and then smash it and destroy mine with the avalanche that occurs?

Cascading damage should only spread to wall tiles that are of same age or younger.
So yes, in case you manage to overlook a new palisade so long that it can fully settle this might be an issue.

By Same Age, do you mean same soak, so anything over 3 days is the same age? (Laso is drying time 3 days IRL or in game?)

Use a bucket on the honey barrel and hold it in your hand.

You have positioned it wrongly.
There should be wreck option evenbefore its dried.
