rabbits just take an eternity to do anything

I've hatched 5 chicken eggs and they are farting out more faster than it seemingly takes for the rabbits to do anything, maybe I'm doing something wrong here but from what I seem to understand is that there must be something wrong with the mating specs of the rabbits. That's gotta be the thing, I've done everything on my end to figure it out but the only result is them changing in quality. Jorbtar, level with me, am I being cheated out of a rabbit farm?

Rabbits are incredibly slow, it's probably just that.

anyone have a general eta on when a new rabbit is supposed to happen in the rabbit hutch? It seems ludicrous they'd take this long, but I'm curious about other folks experience

Sheep etc.? Right click them, and inspect. Should say up the top of the window whether they're a ewe (female) or ram (male). Cows are cow (female) and bull (male), horses are mare (female) and stallion (male). Pigs are sow (female) and hog (male).

Does barrel quality ever matter now? It used to softcap your wine and beer, IIRC...

Demijohn quality still does that I'm fairly sure, but all the "liquid maturation" activities take place in a demijohn now instead. So it shouldn't matter.
