Lol, 40/50 can kill anything up to boars easy if you have a sword and Oak Stance/Shield Up. 60/60 for a fox is way overkill.
Total misplay.

Ah, well then yes, 50/50 would be safe, assuming you have no armor or weapon. However it's pretty easy to make nice quality leather armor. I have wolverines around my place that give q100 loot, look for an area near you where some animals are in higher qualities than elsewhere.
Total misplay.

How pickaxe affects ore quality?

Postby tirioll » Sat Jun 17, 2017 6:54 am

How does the pickaxe (or any other mining tool) quality affect quality of mined ores? Is it a softcap of usual sqrt(pickaxe q * something else)? Masonry? Strength?

I have 100 Masonry, and I am getting ~q60 ores both with q51 pickaxe and q96 stone axe. So it seems that I am not capping them with pick.

Masonry hardcaps ore quality - you won't get material of higher quality than your masonry no matter the node's quality.

Tool softcaps mined material - if mined material quality is higher than the tool's quality then its quality is calculated as (tool's quality + material quality)/2.

Keep in mind that quality of material from even a single tile differs (sometimes even considerably).

You can't revoke them. Better wait until their presence is completely gone then destroy the claim poles.

Personal claims cannot be revoked by a village extending onto it. They can only be revoked if the village owned the land claim is on before the personal claim was made.

Still random based on the decay ticks striking. Best check that area often so that it reloads decay ticks.
