Does a lamb need to be around its mother the full ten days (the wiki says it takes 10 RL days for a lamb to mature) in order to fully grow? Or can I move it away?

It just needs a food source. One animal only produces so much milk in a day. And they just need to be in proximity to one another, so if it's a male and you don't want the female getting pregnant again, put it in a small, close by pen, make two small pens, or such.

Forestry or Metallurgy. I want to get oak stance for combat and I will be doing a bit of treefarming, however I am also doing metals at the same time. Which should I get?

Both. I prefer to get Forestry first as it cuts down the dead trees on the table, which is imho more annoying than the metal lost into stones.

For barley and wheat, stick the seeds on a herbalist table assuming you have tables better than said crops. Let them sprout, then replant them.

The good news is you only need 4 sprouted seeds to plant one square, instead of 5 unsprouted ones.

World resets occur when they are needed for game development. Usually it averages out to about 9-10 months. Exceptions have occurred. World 4 was only about six to seven weeks due to a flaw in the new mining system (bots at the time had, in a matter of two to three weeks, developed as much as a three month old character in the prior world). World six lasted two years, and world seven is still running as the legacy server.

Most of the time, the worlds have ended because a new system required the server restart to be implemented, but I believe a couple of occasions it has been because loftar was working on world gen and it was as good a place as any because of various other issues that had come up. I believe twice the world was ended due to serious hardware failure (world 3, world 5).

I'm a hermit who put up a village claim a couple of weeks ago. Having played world 7 with many village claims I'm confused why I don't see an authority bar or any other way to see my authority. Is this normal? I'm using the amber client.
