Ok for the life of me I could not figure out how to enter commands in the console.

Im using the Amber client and I have the command list but how do i bring out the console to enter command? I tried just typing it but that just moves the menu around in my bottom right corner

usually its ` or ~ key but that just makes me drink water.

Click into to world (to remove focus from any window), then press : on your keyboard and type the console command.

Merged with GLoSQ as it's turning into a clone of it. User informed by PM.

Quickie, how does someone deal with Infected Sores, especially when you have no access to Soap on Camomile Compress? At a point with my character, and don't see any means to access those easily.

As well, severe maulings? Good means to heal those as well. (Been having bad luck with the animals.)

Those are the only two ways to deal with infected sores. There is the "cure all" of Ancient Roots from an Ancient Windthrow.

Here's a listing and a more or less accurate list of cures: http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Hitpoints If there's an entry missing, it can usually be found by searching Announcements for the wound type.

Thanks. And yeah, checking the wiki on the other wounds and things that are a bit out of reach at my current position. The infectous sore seems like it'll fluctuate, but not sure what the chances that other sores will get infected or not. Guess I'll see how it'll go, and might see if neighbors have soap and stuff to help.

Plus side, got a bunch of leeches for all the minor wounds and those are helping.

Left click the kuksa, then right click on the water. Don't left click or you'll drop it*.

*Unless you're using a custom client like Amber with the "Don't drop over water" option turned on.

Best not to get into bad habits, though. Learn to right click on the object you're trying to interact with.

What are the rules for inactive vclaims nowadays? There's a village that's (almost?) out of authority (I can grab stuff and build without criminal acts) and I'd like to claim it; if I recall correctly, it used to be that below a certain threshold villagers can become lawspeaker (or was there some other condition?) and when it was completely out of authority anyone can claim it if they can reach the idol. Does it still work that way? What precisely are the conditions to allow me to take over the village?

(I can theoretically destroy the idol (the game lets me try), but my character has low STR and my best wrecking tool is a stone axe, so I'd rather become lawspeaker of the existing village.)

Dosn't work anymore.

Neither.

I tried it with the casual village I was in where the LS went away (stopped playing, but kept the role - sadly didn't give me privileges needed to solo it) so I stopped feeding LP till it ran out of authority: wasn't able to become LS with a villager (RMB idol did exactly nothing), same after leaving the village - ended up bashing the idol and placing a new one.

Have a barrel of water, food and enough time - or place a wrecking ball.
