Houses don't show anymore, you only see the ground.

So seer's tea leaves were buffed in the latest patch, does anyone know how they were buffed?

1- I read that the game no longer have perma death, is it true? If so, what happens when you die (penelties)? Drown?

2- I am looking to hermit for a while to relearn the game, which direction is the safest to settle in?

3- Do I spawn randomly in the world or a general central location in the world?

I think I can learn the rest over time, but feel free to leave any helpful tips. Thanks!

1. You can still die its just harder.
2. Across the map is pretty safe especially for a hermit.

Honestly, you'll learn more and faster with a group. If learning the game is what you really want, then that's what I'd suggest. If you want to experience the game as fresh eyes in a harsh world, then most definitely hermit. It's a fun, but sometimes frustrating, game experience.

In the past I tried forming a group but for some reason they all refused voice chat. Managing got hard to keep track of and everyone did what they wanted, needless to say we quickly disbanded. I don't want to join a big faction so I will see what small group I can join after I learn a bit. Don't want to come off as a leech or a burden.

Edit: I remember having to use a client to run the game for more advantages and UI enhancement, what's the best/safest client at the moment?
