Was it on the same character? Water Q is hard capped by survival, but doesn't change over time or anything. It's completely static.

It's used to make nidbanes to hassle people for crimes. A couple days, probably.

There is also a curio you can make with it, but the primary use is to make a nidbanes fetter (using wax, hard metal, dreams, and Mandrake's).

On a separate note, if you have a hearaldic cape with a sketch on it, and then recycle it with a hearaldic cape with no sketch, does the resulting clothing item retain the sketch?

Right now the game has no options for that, what you can do is reducing your monitor resolution while playing the game, you can find that in your control panel (on Windows).

Ide's are just found in rivers and lakes and don't require a specific time of day to be caught (to my knowledge). Just keep fishing and if you don't get one afterwhile try a different spot.
