IF I remember the little bit of german I've learned, it should rhyme with "drifters" and is pronounced "shrift-erz." (English is a bastard of germanic, gaelic, and latin, after all.)

Should that be the funny nazis like in Hogan's Heroes or the movie "Top Secret?"

Turns out I had to produce cloth before it unlocks.

It's a quest giver and will appear as a tree or a boulder that you can interact with. Scroll down to random quests.

What is "credo suicide"? I saw DDD mention it.
Lucky: haven is so quirky
Lucky: can be so ugly, can be so heartwarming
Sevenless: it is life

When you complete a credo, it unlocks for all decendants, too. The number of quests required to unlock a credo is increased by the number of credos completed minus number of deaths. Therefore, complete a credo in 10 quests, suicide, start next credo and finish it in 10 quests, suicide... repeat until you've gone as far as you can without need to actually develop your character.

This was actually my goal with my latest character, but I got so into just playing, I decided to not bother... and now too developed to just easily commit hara-kari.
